This is the question at the heart of “Advocate of Yoik”, the new film by MultiBEING researcher Nicola Renzi, co-produced with Sámi jurist and juoigi Ánde Somby. The film will premiere in December 2026 in Venice, Italy.

This is the question at the heart of “Advocate of Yoik”, the new film by our researcher Nicola Renzi (University of Helsinki), co-produced with Sámi jurist and juoigi Ánde Somby.
Following Ánde’s life journey, the film explores questions of multibeing justice through yoik as a relational vocal practice and a form of ecological advocacy.
Advocate of Yoik was produced with the support of the “Diego Carpitella” Prize, awarded to Nicola Renzi by the Intercultural Institute for Comparative Music Studies (IISMC) at Fondazione Giorgio Cini.
