Presentations in Paris and Bruxelles
Professor Pirjo Kristiina Virtanen of our research community recently participated in two international academic events, Latin American Studies Association (LASA) Conference in Paris and the EDGES Conference in Bruxelles.
At the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) Conference in Paris, Professor Pirjo Kristiina Virtanen (University of Helsinki) delivered two invited presentations in the panels “Problemas ambientales emergentes en América Latina” and “Social‑ecological transitions and notions of the Human”.
She also presented at Université Libre de Bruxelles at the EDGES Conference “Claiming justice: Indigenous normative knowledge, methods and new legal techniques in Latin America”.
These presentations considered her research on Indigenous normative knowledge and environmental issues in Amazonian contexts.
